Most mics around $100-200 don't typically differ a whole lot in quality in my opinion, but this mic had a pretty smooth and clean sound compared to others I've used from other brands. Part of this is because the ST55 is not the entry level condenser for Sterling Audio/Groove Tube. There wasn't an overpowering high end response like other mics have.
