The Soundmax onboard audio is not working after I installed Windows 7 Beta. The sound was working fine under Windows XP earlier. Has any body found a solution to this problem? I have tried downloading the Windows XP driver form Asus support. It does not install on Windows 7. Asus does not have a Vista driver for Soundmax.

You should be seeing an HD audio device listed there. Click on that device. Click on the driver tab. Click on Update driver. Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the soundmax driver folder that was created when you ran the file. That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp45615.
