Sonic owns Roxio who own the Cinemaster playback software. Sonic MCE audio codec is more likely to be a playback decoder only and not the encoded format of the audio. You probably have it on your system because you have Roxio on your system. It may even be part of AvidDVD which is you guessed it, a Sonic product.
