i can see no help is given with version 1.51 of snes9x but im trying to install the version 1.52 i can install it ok on windows 7 but then it reports back saying i wont hear sound because i need to have updated direct x on pc. fair enough i go to install that and it says a cabinet file necessary for installion cannot be trusted.

Posted on 2011-11-09 07:53:21 PM. When the music crashes due to bad addmusic and you close snes9x without resetting the ROM, it will do that. Go to your snes9x folder, find the configuration file (snes9x.conf), open it, find "enable APU" or something like that (it's under the sound category) and replace "FALSE" with "TRUE". MaZ.

ghost commented on Jun 4, 2019. this could be an issue of weak hardware or bad drivers. did you guys as least try changing the audio out modes? The little bit I tried this no crackling on my end. However Im also running it on a machine that is fast and has proper drivers.
