I have a permanent "fix" for the problem for my Logitech C310. I noticed that the chipmunk sound happens because the applications think the mic is recording at 48 kHz, but in reality the mic is operating at 16 kHz, so your voice is played at triple speed. It looks like Windows 10 is maintaining the 48 kHz setting correctly, but the microphone re-initializes at 16 kHz.
