The i3.3 fits between the i-1 and the i5.3 in Simaudio’s Moon series of integrated amplifiers, but the ability to add the options of DAC, phono stage, and balanced input puts it in a class of its own in Sim’s product line. It’s the most flexible high-end audio component I’ve ever reviewed. Despite the i3.3’s incredible functionality ...

Moon i3.3 review | What Hi-Fi?

The i3.3 is available as a standard line-level amplifier for £2300. Buy it with the optional DAC board – two coax, one optical and USB inputs – and you'll pay £150 extra. It's the price we quoted for our review sample. There's a £150 optional phono board too, which accepts signals from both moving magnet and moving coil cartridge and has ...

Simaudio and I have a history. Beginning with the Celeste PW-5000 integrated amp, and later the Moon Equinox CD player and Moon Evolution SuperNova, I’ve listened to and written in admiration about the consistent musicality and fidelity of Simaudio gear. Sonically the new i3.3 and CD3.3 remain faithful to Simaudio virtues.

SoundStage! Equipment Review - Simaudio Moon i-3 ...

Cosmetically, the i-3 is similar to Simaudio’s own $2650 Moon i-5 integrated amplifier, which I reviewed in May of 1999. There are some key visual differences, however. Most notably, the i-3’s chassis rests on simple rubber stick-on feet, where the i-5 has the trademark Simaudio "legs" flanking its sides, complete with screw-in spikes.

Review: Sim Audio Moon i 3 Amplifier

I must say I am not in agreement with the review by Mgwatt. I own both the i3 and the i5. The i3 is merely the older ''budget'' Celeste line of Sim products with a new ''Moon'' faceplate. Parts quality and above all sound quality is nowhere near the i5, although the i5 itself is good - but not great - integrated.
