The i3.3 fits between the i-1 and the i5.3 in Simaudio’s Moon series of integrated amplifiers, but the ability to add the options of DAC, phono stage, and balanced input puts it in a class of its own in Sim’s product line. It’s the most flexible high …

As for the treble, the simaudio is not as bright as the rotel and is easier to listen to for long periods. Surprisingly the rotel comes close in detail to the simaudio, with the I-3 having just a tad more detail. Overall I am thrilled with the more musical sound of the simaudio. The build quality is second to none.

Cosmetically, the i-3 is similar to Simaudio’s own $2650 Moon i-5 integrated amplifier, which I reviewed in May of 1999. There are some key visual differences, however. Most notably, the i-3’s chassis rests on simple rubber stick-on feet, where the i-5 has the trademark Simaudio "legs" flanking its sides, complete with screw-in spikes.

SimAudio i3.3 vs Naim SuperNait - Audiogon Discussion Forum

90 posts. 06-17-2011 7:53pm. Edit. Delete. I home auditioned a Sim i3.3, a NAIT XS, and a Naim UnitiQute. I ended buying the Naim UnitiQute. It is the best sounding of the three. The Sim sounds great, but just not as refined and musical as the Naim. For what it's worth I have the Moon 110 LP phono preamp.
