Now in the description of the driver it says it is for the sigmatel stac 9750 ac97. However, when installed it only comes up as a sigmatel c-major sound device. In the control panel it only shows one option for sound setup (stereo), rather than under XP where it showed options to choose the 5.1 setup with control to the subwoofer.

Windows 7 then spun away and installed the new audio drivers... INCLUDING the new user interface from IDT. It put an icon into my control panel called "IDT Audio Control Panel". Now my audio seems to be working fine... That includes using a headset to make Skype calls!
