IMHO, the Shaker 1000 isn't worth the premium that Ford charges for it. The Shaker 500, on the other hand, IS worth it for those sealed door pods where the 8" subwoofers go. The GT under the tent had the 1000, and I had the product specialist fire up the stereo so I could compare it against my Kenwood system that currentl y resides in my 98GT. I was very impressed.
