The Seventh Circle Audio A12 API clone is a must see if you've got a Seventh Circle Audio casing or if you're thinking about putting together your own preamps. As far as I'm concerned, getting one of these casings and choosing your own modules is the best bang for your buck for preamps that I've ever seen.

The Seventh Circle was a little slower at picking up transients. I immediately noticed a lack of high end in the A12's so I put a PAZ analyzer on the kick tracks and took a look. Well, the high end rolls off starting at around 5k! By the time it hits 20k the A12's were down like over 10dB from the 3124. Same signal path was used.
