The Selah Audio Purezza is a very accurate and enjoyable speaker. While the low frequency trend native to the speaker may be a problem to some, it can be resolved by Rick easily from what he says. I simply used an electronic low-shelf filter to resolve this and was on my way (and, thus, my comments below are with this adjustment).

The Selah Audio SA-1, designed by Rick Craig, is a two-way speaker that consists of a Fountek ribbon tweeter and a 7-inch Vifa XT18W09 mid/woofer. My first impression was that the cabinet and grille were identical to the ones used in the Van Alstine Biro L/1s, except for the port location—the SA-1 is rear-ported while the Biro is front-ported.

2021-08-23 8:53 pm. #1. He died of a heart attack this weekend. This is sad. Rick was one of the 3-4 people that were present at my first experience in hifi, about year 2000. I've told the story before a few times, but; We met in Ft Wayne down on HWY 24, IIRC. Rick was in town from NC visiting his folks in FW, who still resided here at that time.
