    Hi, I'v bought a Sony SDT-9000 DDS3-drive with the SGI Firmware 13.1 installed. This unit should be able for reading and writing DAT-Audio tapes. In past I used a Seagate DDS1 and DDS2 drive under Linux and DATlib. These drives had to be initialized with dynamic blocksize and density 0x80 for audio-mode.

    I have for sale a Sony SDT-9000 tape drive which can be used to record Sony DAT digital audio tapes to computer. It is working, it is a drive of the revision that supports the audio firmware, it has been flashed with the audio firmware, and I have personally used it to record a number of DAT tapes over the years.
