Although I am very fond of OSCON in digital gear I am surprised that they are recommended in tube amps. My experience is that they don't sound optimal in the signal path. SXE is very good. Mmm, nearly miswrote that quote Long life and low ESR and good sounding. I forgot about LXF, couldn't obtain them easily as well so I used SXE instead.

I still prefer the Sanyo WG but I use them for digital exclusively. For analog, both of them are intrusive, the OS-Con's more so looks like we are still talking about the amp or DAC voicing rather than neutrality. It is impossible to build a transparent audio component using just one type of electrolytic capacitors.

It's for analog because with difital an oscon after a regulator works fine... The very good esr (low) has with a regulator to be before it & near it. If it helps : I try the green sanyo one as power cap for output of dac or cd players and found the sound has a bad tonal balance : no meat no flesh in bass and medium...with all aop, discrete or not.
