    I have this beautiful Sansui 661 Receiver and I am literally in love with its performance. It is my first vintage amplifier and the first time I have opened ANY receiver in my life. I have done a couple of recaps for vintage speakers but still a bit fearful to work on a receiver.

    Sansui 661. Hi all. I picked up this Sansui receiver on cl with a pair of Pioneer s-H152B-k speakers for $30. Both seem to be in very good condition cosmetically. I think the receiver is from 1976. The speakers are more modern. 2000. Anyone have any opinions about either.

    Apologies to those who've read this on AudioKarma. the subject indicates I've developed an interest in Sansui. recently bought a 661 Receiver off ebay for £28 and liked it a lot. Smoothness brought a smile to my face. But, there was too little detail - singers breathing, etc - to make me want to replace my Edison 60 kit valve amp.
