By the mid seventies most manufactures went away from this design to OCL designed amps. Now I've noticed the price of these 5000x climbing recently but for about the same money I suggest picking up a later model Sansui 6060, 7070, or 8080 receiver. I have two 7070's and they run laps around my 5000x.
