The Rythmik E15 is the second subwoofer I tested in my room. Incidentally, both subwoofers, a SVS and this Rythmik, were from Maxx Audio. Talking to Max Loh, the proprietor of Maxx Audio, I gathered that they had been going around installing subwoofers week in week out, and apparently had garnered quite a following for the brands they carry.

Any thought on the Rythmik E15 HP compared to the SVS SB13 Ultra. My primary goal for this sub is music so any opinions on the 2 subs? They both seem to have rave reviews. I looked up my Earthquake MKV-15 spec's and the output of that sub doesn't match the Rythmik or SVS. Earthquake 20hz,102 db and 98 db at 18hz. Any help would be a appreciated.

I found that the much larger, ported, FV15 definitely went lower, but to my ears with no sacrifice in sound quality, control, etc. Even with music I was very happy with the sound of the ported sub, so at least for me the question of ported vs. sealed really just came down to the ability to go lower/ louder for movies.

E15 is sealed. F12 is vented. Around the tuning point a vented sub will give you more "oomph". What you're hearing IMO, is correct bass. A good sub does not call attention to itself, just adds the correct amount of bottom end cleanly."Thud"; aka one note bass, sounds cool but is not accurate bass.If he's looking for more tactile feel though, vented is what he'll want.
