I purchased Roxio Easy VHS to DVD. I am attempting to transfer audio from LP's. I have connected the turntable to the computer with the provided USB capture device. The S-connection only transfer the video, no audio. If you use the s-cable you will have to get a red-white cable set and there is no need for a yellow connection. You can also get a yellow/red/white cable set. In this case you do not use the s-connector. There are cables available that have all 4 connection in one set.

We found that if you have the computer completely plugged into the VHS player RCA connectors to USB 2.0 before you open the Roxio program it reads the incoming signal fine. If you open the program then connect the cables or use a slower/older USB port it won't recognize the incoming signal.
