Alright so i spent a very long time working on this. but this fix worked for me and 3 of my friends! Instructions for Dummies Changing setting! MANDATORY 1- Right click the sound icon in bottom right corner. 2- Click Playback Devices 3- locate your default device (green checkmark) 4- Right click and Disable everything else 5- Right click your default device and select properties.

I've been using Rocksmith for a month or so with few issues. PC with Windows 8.1 64-bit. Suddenly a couple of days ago, I encountered this problem, and haven't been able to get it to work since. The cable is detected but, there's no sound from the guitar. I've checked volume knobs and all that stuff. I even tried a different guitar, and both guitars work with an amp.
