    It is your audio playback device that is giving you troubles. You will do better to use your built in audio playback device. It may be possible to get other addon audio devices to work, but only the built in audio device is officially supported. also I think the format needs to be 44000 hz .. .check out this config thread.

    I tried a wired headphone and it worked afterwards. Also could be the sound setting, you need to have them set to the highest sounds quality. Control Panel<Sounds Settings<Properties of the connected audio device<Advanced and scroll through the best setting there.     The answer is simple, the Audio sample rate is too high. Make sure to change it to CD Quality, 16 Bit, 44100Hz to fix it. I feel stupid for not realizing this myself (old pc had crappy on-board sound with 16 Bit 44100Hz max). Hope this helps if you haven't fixed it yourself yet.
