The reason I'm converting it to msmpeg4 is because that's the format supported by my Pioneer DVD player. I did recompile the source again to make it output the video as libxvid codec but sadly the result is still choppy. I could use menconder to produce the video without this choppy issue, but I'm wondering whether ffmpeg could achieve the same good result or not.
