RipBot264 Audio Sync Problems. been using RipBot successfully for some time now. Lately, the last 5 or so encodes have had nasty audio sync issues where the audio lags behind by as much as 5 seconds or more. These happen to be re-encodes of DVD RIPS done with MakeMKV from DVDs.

currently ripbot doesn't support copying of HD audio tracks. (mkv files do support HD codecs/audio tracks though) If you want to keep the original audio track I'd recommend extracting (demuxing) it and then just muxing it back in after whatever re-encoding you do (keep in mind the audio will take up more space than ripbot will account for with the reencoded track)

Good question Richard, not sure if Ripbot would allow that. I would think the easy solution would just be to use tsMuxer. It takes 10 minutes, you simply select what video/audio files you want, and it creates a new m2ts file with everything intact (I did this for Casino Royale and the file was about 1/3 less then the original Stream as it cuts out all the extra features).

This means I won't be able to use the Tivo as a media center in the living room. My goal is to use h264 for video and ac3 or dts 5.1 for audio (no AV receivers support aac, yet anyway).
