currently ripbot doesn't support copying of HD audio tracks. (mkv files do support HD codecs/audio tracks though) If you want to keep the original audio track I'd recommend extracting (demuxing) it and then just muxing it back in after whatever re-encoding you do (keep in mind the audio will take up more space than ripbot will account for with the reencoded track)

Using Ripbot for Blu Ray/HD DVD streaming - MediaSmart Server

Good question Richard, not sure if Ripbot would allow that. I would think the easy solution would just be to use tsMuxer. It takes 10 minutes, you simply select what video/audio files you want, and it creates a new m2ts file with everything intact (I did this for Casino Royale and the file was about 1/3 less then the original Stream as it cuts out all the extra features).

As you have Any DVD running there is no need to rip to Hard Drive first. RIPBOT will automatically select the full movie even if it is split over several files(EG, HD DVD), provided you select the first file in the playlist sequence. 5. When the movie has been analysed it gives you the audio (and other) options. Select TruHD or whatever.

RipBot is a good mini player ripper like Sony NW-X1060, Zune HD etc. The drawback is, it can not use gpu, nor double processor systems, so it is really slow. (Uses second processor nearly %10) Distributed encoding is the most silly part, depends upon ethernet speed, but main system waits for other encoders to transfer data over ethernet at that time by …

Using Ripbot for Blu Ray/HD DVD streaming - MediaSmart Server

This means I won't be able to use the Tivo as a media center in the living room. My goal is to use h264 for video and ac3 or dts 5.1 for audio (no AV receivers support aac, yet anyway). This would allow me to re-encode SD-DVD or HD-DVD (including BD) to mkv. Question: does the popcorn hour a-110 box connect without troubles to the WHS?

Or if I use TSMuxeR to demux the video & audio, shrink the video to a BD25 using say, RipBot, then remux using TSMuxeR to a .m2ts, then remux to Blu-ray structure using the correct version of TSRemux (v019), will that work?
