Any coax will do. It is analog regardless of the cable used. Can RG6 be used for audio? Basically, you can turn RG6 coax video cable into audio cables simply by screwing on AV connectors at each end. A TV tech guy I know doesn’t think it’d be audiophile grade but certainly better than standard audio cables over long distance.

RG-6 over RG-59 for anything other than RF use. For runs of component interconnect in the same rack, I'll agree. RG-6 will typically have a lower dB loss per foot than RG-59. The dielectric for RG-6 is thicker resulting in a physically larger cable, but meaning the leakage for a given type of dielectric is lower.
