The computer crashed at one point with RECentral muted, and since than I've had no sound even unmuted and at 100 in volume mixer (I use RECentral to have video and audio for games as my desk is too small to have 2 monitors and a tv. Aug 9, 2017. #1. I recently got my AverMedia Live Gamer HD 2 to replace my AverMedia H727. I plug the device in, install RECentral (and have OBS Studio installed as well) and there is no sound. As the LGHD2 has a HDMI passthrough, when I switch over to my TV, the sound works fine. So there is an issue with the card and/or windows detecting sound.
