    The Reaper Audio Engine does a good job of routing and mixing audio together but the ProTools engine is a monster 16 cylinder 64 valve quad-turbocharged engine with four valves per cylinder. The person the OP was speaking with, worked as a salesman. As he can't SELL Reaper, I suspect a little bit of bias in his case.

    Reaper has a 64 bit floating point mix engine. So do many of the other newer DAW's and Protools now as well. Everyone else used to be 32 bit while Protools was 48 bit. The Protools sounds better comments were valid then but that was many years ago now.
