    I have this problem now, I reset Windows 10 on Tuesday night and now no matter what I try, the rear speakers only work if I run the sound tests in either the Realtek HD audio manager or Control Panel>Sound>speaker config. They are set to run in 5.1 in software but they don't output sound to my rear set.
