Yeah there's only AC'97 driver support for the older chips. The newer ones use the HD Audio drivers. I tried those drivers, but no joy. The only Realtek chip I can find on the motherboard is an ALC250, which doesn't appear to be supported by the HD Audio drivers so that would explain why those drivers aren't working/downloading.
