It starts in whatever was the last mode when turned off (FM, AM, CD, Bluetooth audio player). That said, when BT audio player is selected, the behavior changes depending on the phone. With my Android and Windows phones, i have to push play for the player to start. With a Blackberry, it starts playing as soon as the BT audio is selected.
