I found out that the 785G chipset only outputs 2 channel sound over HDMI, so I purchased a Radeon 6450 to get 5.1 HDMI audio output. The problem is that in my playback devices it's not listing the AMD 6450 HDMI out. It only lists one device "Digital Audio (HDMI)" 2- High Definition Audio Device It's using a Microsoft driver.

The sound works great when I plugged a sound system on the Green thingy and even when I use headsets but somehow, no sound in HDMI. I have a ATI RADEON HD 6450 so I'm afraid it might not be able to work at all :/ Penny for your thought ? Hdmi Audio is enabled by the way and Voodoo don't do the trick either.
