I found out that the 785G chipset only outputs 2 channel sound over HDMI, so I purchased a Radeon 6450 to get 5.1 HDMI audio output. The problem is that in my playback devices it's not listing the AMD 6450 HDMI out. It only lists one device "Digital Audio (HDMI)" 2- High Definition Audio Device It's using a Microsoft driver.

I installed a Radeon HD6450 in my tower so I could use the HDMI to my TV. Unfortunately, there is no audio over that cable; when I go to Windows "Sound" control panel selection, there is no choice to use HDMI for audio. Does this card have that capability?
