This is the most recent R56 system I have done. I replaced the optional hi-fi system as the sound was very poor - it can't handle bass. Normally I hide all my amplifiers but the combination of the customer supplying their own amps & the fact that the car had every option box ticked meant that the places I normally hide amps were mostly taken

MINI R56 models can come equipped with two types of amplifiers, depending on options -- stereo / HiFi amplifier and Top HiFi amplifier. The sound frequency output sent to the amplifier from the radio is dependent on the speaker configuration. Only the frequency range that can be effectively reproduced by the connected speaker system.
