    I would say that the way it worked in QLab 2 was correct. i.e all fades started or finished at the minimum level and for the duration of the fade, providing the Minimum audio level had been set around the threshold of audibility (the auditorium noise floor) a 10s fade would be heard as 10 seconds of changing level.

    Once the audio is out of the buffer in QLab, it doesn't hold on to it, so that can't happen at the QLab level. The most likely scenario is you're getting a dropout rather than skipping backwards, and then the audio is resuming where it stopped, or something similar.

    I have just started working with QLab and ran into a problem with stopping timecode when looped audio cues are involved. Please see the attached workspace as an example. In group 1 I am playing a timecode cue and an audio cue which contains a looped segment. The timecode cue should automatically stop when the audio cue is done playing.
