The QF1A manual is here. The output amplifier is a LM380, which can drive a small speaker. The filters are built around LM348 quad op amps. MFJ has similar active filter units available (MFJ-722B, MFJ-751B, MFJ-752D). They also have a DSP filter (MFJ-784B) that has many features. I especially like the autonotch and AGC features.
