browser - Does pulseaudio have an error log? - Ask Ubuntu

    https://askubuntu.com/questions/142859/does-pulseaudio-have-an-error-log
I've been able to find some output from Pulse Audio in syslog.I don't think Pulse Audio has some seperate log file. If you want to debug it, you'd probably need to disable the autorespaw (the process always automatically getting restarted whenever it crashes), launch it with the verbose parameter, and log the output.. Anyway, this is how I found some output: cat /var/log/syslog* | …

Changing Output Device with PulseAudio Posted on August 31st, 2013 23:07. Y'know, when I first started this section, I just called it "code" and figured most of the things I did would actually involve code. Now, most of it just seems to involve non-coded Linux usage. Well then, from now on, Linux it is. I hate PulseAudio.

How can I create a virtual output in PulseAudio? - Unix ...

    https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/174379/how-can-i-create-a-virtual-output-in-pulseaudio
A little complement to @mxc's answer, as he said you can use the module-null-sink as a virtual output with: pacmd load-module module-null-sink sink_name=MySink. This creates a new sink ("virtual output") that you can use for your application. For every sink you create, pulseaudio will also create a monitor source, so in addition to your MySink ...

audio - How to get PulseAudio running? - Raspberry Pi ...

    https://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/questions/639/how-to-get-pulseaudio-running
pulseaudio-module-zeroconf is missing in the apt-get install part. Should mention maybe also the pulseaudio --log-level=debug to troubleshoot any problems. On the sound source (not the raspberry pi), you should launch paprefs to easily overview your pulseaudio conf (if you have X11). And don't forget to restart pulseaudio when in doubt. –

PulseAudio shows "Dummy Output" - Speaker-test works ...

The Pulseaudio volume control (pavucontrol) connects to Pulseaudio, but also only shows the "Dummy Output" device under Virtual devices. Selecting "Hardware output devices" results in a display of "No output devices available". Time for my dumb question: what happened to the default device in the aplay -L output and, more importantly, how do I ...

which helped somewhat, but only insofar as it postponed the problem another three or so minutes before the same thing happened. i've left every other option in the config file alone, they're all still set to their defaults, as far as i know. please let me know if there's any log or something i can provide that could help elucidate the problem, as i know pulseaudio doesn't log …

foo_out_pulse - pulseaudio output

Re: foo_out_pulse - pulseaudio output. Ah, that's just because I set "default-fragments = 2; default-fragment-size-msec = 1000" a while back to try and mitigate some stutter issues I was having. Changed it to default-fragment-size-msec = 300 and your plugin's still playing skippedyquick so I don't think that's related.
