How can I setup pulseaudio to use both digital and analog ...

    https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/373263/how-can-i-setup-pulseaudio-to-use-both-digital-and-analog-ports-from-2-profiles
The Digital Stereo (IEC958) Output profile shows only one port: Digital Output (S/PDIF). The Analog Stereo Output profile shows two ports: Line Out (unplugged) and Headphones (plugged in). Is there a way to have the Headphones and S/PDIF ports on one profile or is that the way pulseaudio works? Here's the relevant section of pacmd list-cards:

Sound cards may have both analog and digital (iec958) outputs. Pulseaudio does not generate combined profiles by default, you can choose either digital or analog profiles. The easiest way to make both outputs available is to add a combined profile to the end of default profile configuration file:

PulseAudio: the diff between Analog Output and Digital ...

The digital or analog output is from the viewpoint of the sound card. A sound card will get all audio outputs in digital form, but for analog outputs it will convert the digital signal to an analog signal (e.g. for headphones plugged in with the normal 3.5mm jack). Digital outputs leave the soundcard without the digital to analog conversion.
