Psychonauts audio problem I downloaded psychonauts the other day and about every 2-5 minutes the audio will skip on and off for about 5-10 seconds. Occasionally the video will skip along with it, but most of the time it's the audio only. What can be done to fix this? It's ruining the game experience when you miss out on key dialog.

Audio/general stuttering problems My games audio is constantly jumping and popping all over, and the game freezes and jumps every few minutes. I don't have the best laptop, but if it can run other games much more complicated than this smoothly, I suspect this is a problem with the game and not my computer.

Confirmed. This works for me as well. If the window minimizes, just click on Psychonauts in the Windows taskbar and left click like crazy until you see the game. I usually only have to do this once each time I launch the game. So, if I tab out, I can tab back in without issue. Last edited by duEprocEss ; Aug 25, 2021 @ 7:12am.

Psychonauts audio and video stuttering problem. I bought Psychonauts a few years ago and it worked fine then. Biggest problem was that it overheated my laptop a bit. Now I'm trying to replay it and it's unplayable due to lag and stutters. I start the game and sometimes it runs smoothly at first but then it dips from 60 fps to single digits ...
