Thank you for the replies: @aedipuss: I apologize. The resolution was a mistake on my part. it is actually 624. I checked the other episodes of the same movie, and they all show up as xvid 64 and ac3 in Avirecomp.Those other episodes' audio plays on my PS3 and it shows 2 ch on the display instead of 1 ch.

Hi For anyone who's seen my previous posts I've finally got Lost converting alright using dvdfab 5 > dvd shrink > agk, but now I have problem with two films, one is The Brothers Grimm and the other is Death Proof, these seemingly rip ok and convert as they play without any obvious issues on my pc but when I try playing them on my PS3 they are silent (no audio).

If the PS3 is saying "data type not supported", it isn't always the video stream that is the problem. If the audio stream is an incompatible format then the PS3 will not play the file. Use GSpot or AVIcodec to identify the streams in your media file.
