I have the same issue with my Denon AVR-1907 and PS3. When set to Bitstream the sound will occasionally cut out. It's fine when set to Linear PCM but the sound is not as good. No problem at all when watching normal DVD's. Only Bluray ones. I also use optical out from the PS3. I have just recently installed the lastest firmware update on the PS3.
