    Those are the correct settings for 5.1 from digital optical which I still sometimes use. So I would check your receiver. Just to rule out something screwy, you might also change the settings on the PS3 to the analog multi-out cable (or any other option), and then switch it back to what you had before (optical, DD5.1 & DTS5.1).
