    PS Audio has done a good job here, judging from my noise measurements with a 47K input impedance and the input RCAs open. Very slightly different than the 1K loading choice, which can be easily explained by the increased thermal noise of a 47K resistor vs a 1K resistor.

    Gneral rule of thumb on loading is 10X internal impedance so I'd load it at 100. Ideal gain is probably around 57 dB so you're right smack dab in the middle of 54 and 60. The cartridge may actually have a higher output than .48 mV (both my 103R's have higher output than spec) so you could try either 54 or 60.
