I am not an expert, just another musician/1st time user of ProTools Free but I will venture a guess at what I think your question might be. 1. AudioSuite plugins do not work in real time. You can't hear the effect until after the file has been processed. ProTools Free comes with RTAS plugins which are real time effects that use your CPU.
