I have a base 2007, acquired last March, and I immediately put that in. Works great. In fact, other than the lack of an audio input jack, I think the base model has everything I'd ever want in a car. Incidentally, there's also a TSB that came out in Aug of 2007 for excessive audio noise when the MP3 device is plugged into the charger and sounds system at the same time.
