It seems Premiere is simply not recognising MTS as an audio and video format, it keeps saying MTS media from previous projects is "Offline" and newly imported MTS just has no audio track at all. Importing from the Media Browser makes no difference.

Like I said this is last I checked and I no longer use .MTS and to my knowledge the codec is no longer used in any current camera systems. Edit: Try a software called Rewrap that saves you having to transcode the files and just changes the delivery container.
