    My question/problem is for 24 bit samples and VXpocket v2 sound card. Portaudio version is pa_stable_v19_061121 in Linux Kubuntu 6.10 (Edgy Eft). ALSA version 1.0.13 in use. I am trying to read 24 bit samples from Portaudio stream but I only get 16 bit samples. But if I use ALSA API directly I get 24 bit samples. So ALSA supports 24 bit samples.
