So today I went and picked up some Polk monitor 5jr Series 2. They are the ones with the passive radiators. I also have a set of 5jr without the passive radiator and different tweeters. The series 2 tweeters are black domes and the others are transparent on a silver plate. Also of note is there are fuses on the one pair but none on the series 2.

I owm Polk Monitor 5jr's. They play down into the 30's, are highly sensitive and efficient, and play nice with my other gears. I don't roll tubes; I roll receivers (6). My Polks compare to my other bookshelf offerings (AR, Infinity, Cerwin-Vega, A/D/S) very favorably, and even give my awesome Klipsch Fortes a run for their money.

The early Monitor 5Jrs had a port (similar to the Monitor 4s) and no passive radiator. The later 5Jrs and the 5Jr+s had 6-1/2" passives.

Flim & The BB's "Tricycle". What sold me on the 5jr's is listening to said music, the 5jr's handled that 'snap' of the drums in a way reminiscent of the Paradigms. I don't know if they have the Polk tweeters or the original, apparently smoother tweeters, the only info I have is as follows; Polk Monitor Series 5JR 27295.
