I just purchased Polk Audio PSW10 and plugged it in with no speakers attached but no power. I troubleshooted it and noticed it was a blown fuse. I purchased the same rating 2A250V, fast and slow acting and both blew as soon as I plugged it in the outlet directly. Then I tried it with the woofer plugged into the receiver but it still blew the fuse.

Try setting the sub switch to on instead of auto, assuming it has said switch, also if there is a crossover switch that says internal/direct make sure it's set to direct. Sub is plugged into the wall and the coaxial cable is not damaged / connected to the correct input on receiver.

Make sure Sub is set to ON on your reciever, set the crossover to say, 80hz as a starting point. Plug a subwoofer cable (RCA to RCA) from SUB OUT or LFE OUT on your reciever to Input L (or R) on your sub. Turn the sub ON, crossover ALL THE WAY UP, and put the gain up about halfway. You're done.
