DSW Pro 500. December 2008 edited December 2008. in Subwoofer Hookup & Bass Management. Gents, I lurk a lot, but finally am upgrading my HT system from a trusty RM5400 I've long relied upon. Running RTiA3s and a CSiA6 up front. I've selected a DSW Pro 500 to round out the bass, but have heard mixed reviews on Polk subs.

Plate amp in my Polk DSW Pro 600 failed. I replaced it with the Dayton Audio SPA250 plate amp. It required some modification to the sub box and a doubler plate to account for the smaller dimensions of this amp. I used 1/4" aluminum for this. The end result leaves me quite pleased. Sound is at least as good as it was with the original amp.
