The only thing to try is to place a low value resistor in series with the positive wire going from the sub's terminals to the Definitive speakers. All I can say is that I guess the sound from the tweeters is normal; it's so different from what I'm used to hearing from the speakers. update: replacement drivers for the RM3000's are P/N RD5001-4 ($60 ea).
