I recently purchase a Polk Audio Sub Woofer PSW202 only to find that it keeps blowing the 2 AMP fuse. I tried the unit with and without my receiver connected and the result is the same. This is a 2002 model, is there any chance that they had a problem with this model? Any idea what the repair bill would be to have a tech repair it?

The Polk, as most 10s do, has the opposite problem. It plays higher but fails to reach the lower registers. The PSW202 has much less power than the PSW404 (also 10") but that is just as well because they share the same driver and the driver will blow in the PSW404 if the volume is turned past 50% (seen 4 do this).

I managed to guilt trip Circuit City into selling me a Polk PSW202 for $100 (they screwed up on other non-audio products)but in my haste to snap up the Sub-Woofer I did not realize it was a 50 watts sub until I got it home. I'm assuming that it will still be okay since I'm entering in to home theater at the low end and ususally do not crank ...
