I recently purchase a Polk Audio Sub Woofer PSW202 only to find that it keeps blowing the 2 AMP fuse. I tried the unit with and without my receiver connected and the result is the same. This is a 2002 model, is there any chance that they had a problem with this model? Any idea what the repair bill would be to have a tech repair it?

I'm for option 3, trash it. The Polk PSW202 is a sub w/a 10" driver and a. 50 watt amp. That isn't gonna cut it in a 12' x 15' room. The PSW202 MSRP. was $350, but I've seen them on sale at Circuit City for $170, and $100 on ebay. If you can afford to, try this 10" HSU STF-2 (good for room to 3000 cu ft) w/10"driver.

Blowing the AC fuse in any amplifier is a reason to figure out what might have happened to cause it. Fuses blow because either the rated voltage was surpassed or (more likely) the rated current was exceeded.
