Many Polkies order a new replacement from Polk and dustbin the Silver Coils. Not bad otherwise, though I like my Monitor 4 Series 2's better. teekay0007 Posts: 2,292. August 2014 edited August 2014. I know some 5 series had the 8" passive some had a 6.5"..... If they have an 8" passive then they're Monitor 5s (No Jr or Jr+). The early Monitor 5Jrs had a port (similar to the Monitor 4s) and no passive radiator. The later 5Jrs and the 5Jr+s had 6-1/2" passives.
